IMPORTANT NOTE

Scope of the Degree

The Master’s in Psychologie qualifies you for a broad range of clinical-psychological roles and leadership positions in health and social care. However, it does not entitle you to the licence to practise as a psychotherapist (Approbation). If you are aiming for this licence, you need to complete the corresponding training path separately. If you have questions about professional boundaries, our student counselling team will be happy to help.

“Demand for qualified clinical psychologists in Germany continues to grow — particularly in neuropsychological and gerontopsychological care, where the gap between need and available specialists is most acute.”

Why This Programme Stands Out

Cohort sizes are deliberately kept small, giving every student close contact with faculty and more personal mentoring — not a lecture hall.

Your degree meets the standards of both EuroPsy and the Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen — the recognised professional benchmarks across psychology in Germany and Europe.

You don't just learn how to apply psychology — you learn how to advance it. Research methods, scientific writing, and independent inquiry are woven throughout the entire curriculum.

Qualified applicants from related degree programmes can access the M.Sc. through a defined cross-entry pathway. There are more ways into psychology than most people assume.
