Post-
Covid

Investigating post-COVID conditions, recovery trajectories, and evidence-based approaches to long-term care.

Overview

Since it became clear that a SARS-CoV-2 infection can lead to significant long-term health impairments in a substantial number of those affected, a vast body of research has been initiated and published in a remarkably short time. Our understanding of Long and Post-COVID has become considerably more nuanced since then, yet the demand for robust data remains as high as ever. At HIU, a range of topics within this emerging field of research are therefore being addressed:

Post- Covid
Research Focus Areas

Improving care provision within the healthcare system and in occupational settings

The influence of personality traits and coping strategies on the course and prognosis of Post-COVID

The challenges faced by patients with multiple burdens (e.g. due to comorbid psychiatric conditions or during specific life stages)

Optimising therapeutic interventions
