Delta-Netz-Transfer
Building Pathways to Basic Education

The LEO 2018 study highlights the scale of low literacy in Germany: roughly 6.2 million adults between the ages of 18 and 64 struggle with reading and writing.

Project Overview

Trained staff at IB have been supporting people with low literacy for many years. The "Delta-Netz Transfer" project has set itself the following goals in this regard:

  • to connect more people with low literacy to suitable learning opportunities, and
  • to help create the conditions that enable sustained, long-term learning.

HIU provides academic oversight of the project, investigating how basic education is successfully delivered within the "Delta-Netz Transfer" network.

Project Duration

15 September 2021 – 14 September 2024

Information on the predecessor project Delta-Netz: Models for Strengthening Basic Education in the Community can be found here.
