Delta-Netz-Transfer
Building Pathways to Basic Education
The LEO 2018 study highlights the scale of low literacy in Germany: roughly 6.2 million adults between the ages of 18 and 64 struggle with reading and writing.
Trained staff at IB have been supporting people with low literacy for many years. The "Delta-Netz Transfer" project has set itself the following goals in this regard:
- to connect more people with low literacy to suitable learning opportunities, and
- to help create the conditions that enable sustained, long-term learning.
HIU provides academic oversight of the project, investigating how basic education is successfully delivered within the "Delta-Netz Transfer" network.
