The participation of people with low literacy in our society must be strengthened – this affects over 6 million adults nationwide in Germany who have difficulties with written language.

The "WORTSCHATZ" model project pursues the goal of promoting the autonomy and co-determination of these adults through digitalised learning opportunities adapted to everyday needs. Together with IB Mitte gGmbH Sachsen and KOPF, HAND + FUSS gGmbH, IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales is engaged in ensuring successful implementation, integration and evaluation of these learning opportunities.

So that those affected can benefit from such opportunities to improve their skills, not only the immediate circle of family and friends but also professionals must be appropriately sensitised and networks established. The cornerstone for the success of this goal is therefore public relations work.

To this end, the project partners not only offer interactive consultations, training and roadshows like with the ALFA mobile, but also provide, alongside the classic flyers, digital information media for (a-)synchronous self-study and dissemination of the most important data and facts.
