Experiencing science up close – IB Hochschule at the Stuttgart Science Festival 2024

Stuttgart Science Festival

Listen, marvel, experiment: the Stuttgart Science Festival from 11 to 22 October 2024 offered scientific institutions, researching companies and science-related start-ups the opportunity to present themselves to a broad audience, to mutually exchange and network. As an established university with a location in Stuttgart, IB Hochschule was of course there.

"One must communicate things correctly – with commitment, empathy and humour," the well-known and popular science journalist and physicist Ranga Yogeshwar formulated at the opening of this year's festival a maxim that has long been valid at IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales: practice-oriented teaching and learning at eye level. How this is concretely implemented in university everyday life, young and old could experience first-hand at the Open Day in the Stuttgart Study Centre.

Whether at a taster lecture, in the test laboratory, at the virtual balancing act in "airy heights" with VR glasses, a psycho-quiz or the poster exhibition, in which current research results of students and lecturers were presented – at the Stuttgart Study Centre of IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales, all visitors got their money's worth last Thursday.

We are pleased that our contribution to the joint goal of the Science Festival – to position Stuttgart sustainably as a university and science city, and to strengthen the close connection of science, business and urban society – was so well received, and we warmly thank all participants and interested parties.
