
The Berlin Senate Administration has officially confirmed the appointments as professors.
In April 2021, Dr. Gabriele Valerius, Dr. Inga Liepelt-Scarfone and Dr. Tajana Grießmann-Gehrt were officially appointed Professors at IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales. In the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences they represent the teaching areas of Psychology. We warmly congratulate the three appointed professors and look forward to a great collaboration!
Inga Liepelt-Scarfone earned her doctorate at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in Psychology. After her doctorate she held post-doc positions in Neurology at the University Hospital in Tübingen. Since 2009 Ms Liepelt-Scarfone has been responsible for coordinating clinical studies at the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE e.V.) in Tübingen. Since 2013 she has been teaching at the University of Tübingen and holds the Venia Legendi there in the field of Psychology.
Gabriele Valerius earned her doctorate at the Psychiatric University Hospital in Freiburg in Psychology. After her doctorate she took up post-doc positions in Freiburg and at the Central Institute of Mental Health in Mannheim. Her thematic focus was on neuronal correlates of cognitive performance on the one hand, and on emotional processing in mental disorders on the other.
Tajana Grießmann-Gehrt earned her doctorate at the University of Magdeburg (Prof. Fuhrer). She taught Psychology at the University of Potsdam, the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Berlin and the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. From 2011 to 2019 Tajana Grießmann-Gehrt worked as a systemic individual, couples and family therapist in her own practice in Brussels. In parallel she later also worked as a school psychologist at the International German School in Brussels and subsequently at a school in Berlin.
