Virtual symposium "Digitalisation in healthcare: chances, risks and side effects for mature patients?"

The constant change in healthcare requires us to reflect more intensively on the role of patients. The various developments during the corona pandemic have reinforced this necessity. But how does digitalisation affect the quality of patient care, and what role does medical or therapeutic specialist staff play in these processes? What chances, risks and side effects does the digital transformation carry for mature patients, and how can patients be supported?
These and other questions will be discussed at the virtual "Digitalisation in Healthcare" symposium of IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales. With the participation of experts from various scientific disciplines and other knowledgeable people from healthcare, interesting insights will be given into the latest developments in the digitalisation of healthcare and the various challenges in this context will be discussed in an interdisciplinary way.
The goal of the symposium is to look at the chances, but also possible disadvantages of a digitalised healthcare system for patient care from different perspectives. Here, the aspect of maturity should be at the centre.
Through participation in digital workshops, a lively exchange in small groups is possible on topics such as health apps, telemedicine and e-mental health. During the breaks, participants have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas.
The event is a virtual event. We look forward to your participation!
