Video treatment now possible – physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy benefit from this forward-looking decision

The current life situation of many patients is so restricted due to the coronavirus that health insurers have decided on this innovative step. Even independently of this emergency, the German Bundestag (2019) sees the nationwide development of digital competence in health professions as a mandatory requirement for the successful use of intelligent systems in care, therapy and nursing.

IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales takes this mandate seriously and prepares future therapists in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy in the Bachelor's programme for scenarios such as video therapy and app-supported treatments. These are part of the online-based courses from summer semester.
