On 11 February 2025, the Medical Academy Hamburg (MAH) opened its doors to all interested parties and offered comprehensive information from 16:00 to 18:00 on the training courses in Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy. The event offered not only the opportunity to get to know the training institution but also enabled visitors to exchange with dedicated lecturers and to experience the varied teaching methods first-hand.
Together with IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales, visitors could also inform themselves about the training- and part-time programme Applied Therapy Science. Particularly highlighted was the close interlinking of theoretical training and practical application, which opens the best career chances in healthcare professions for graduates.
At the Open Day, as a cooperating partner in Hamburg, we could welcome and comprehensively inform numerous "students of tomorrow". Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Silke Brenne and Study Coordinator Jan-Christoph Thiele were at the disposal of young people to answer questions and give personal insights into university life. The day offered an excellent opportunity to get a first impression of our university and inspire potential study candidates.
The cooperation between MAH and IB Hochschule offers an optimal connection between practice-oriented training and scientific further education. The numerous visitors at the Open Day showed great interest in the diverse possibilities in healthcare professions. Heartfelt thanks to all involved, especially Asklepios Klinik Harburg, who supported this event. We look forward to welcoming many visitors as students at our academy and university soon!
