Great interest, many conversations and a lively exchange: the 2026 Day of Vocational Training at ukb was very well attended. Many pupils, parents and interested visitors took the opportunity to find out about career perspectives in healthcare on site.
The focus was on practical training professions in everyday clinical work. At various participatory and information stands, visitors gained insights into training as a surgical technical assistant (OTA) or anaesthesia technical assistant (ATA). Trainees and practice instructors explained their tasks and answered questions about applications, daily life and career opportunities.
District Mayor Nadja Zivkovic also visited the training day and learned about the diverse training and study opportunities at ukb during a tour.
Alongside the training paths, IB Hochschule also presented its programmes in Psychology, Digital Health and Health Education.
It was particularly interesting to see the many different disciplines side by side. At the same time it became clear that hospital care only works when all areas mesh together like cogs and cooperate closely.
We are already looking forward to the next event: in May, the 1st Health Day at ukb will follow.
