Study start Applied Therapy Science – the IB Hochschule family continues to grow

With the quote by the writer, philosopher and librarian Dr. Hans Margolius (1902–1984) – "Education is not knowledge, but interest in knowledge" – the new students of the Applied Therapy Science: Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy programme were warmly welcomed at the Stuttgart study location on Friday 17 January 2025.

The new cohort brings a versatile and dynamic mixture from the three specialist areas of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy together. The students come from the Stuttgart, Berlin and Munich study locations and bring different scientific previous knowledge as well as high expectations of therapy science. What unites them is their sincere interest in current, subject-specific and inter-professional as well as scientific knowledge. With their decision for IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales, they show great trust in future-oriented academic training.

The academisation of therapy professions continues to progress, both in Germany and worldwide. With this comes the rising need for reflective practitioners and therapy scientists who, with sound knowledge in occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy, make a significant contribution to the high-quality care of patients and clients. This goal has been set by our new students.
