With the quote from writer and philosopher Dr. Hans Margolius – "Education is not knowledge, but interest in knowledge" – the new students of Applied Therapy Sciences were warmly welcomed on January 17, 2025, at the Stuttgart campus.
The new cohort brings together a dynamic mix from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Therapy. Students come from the Stuttgart, Berlin, and Munich campuses, bringing diverse academic backgrounds and high expectations of therapy science. What unites them all is their genuine interest in current, specialist, interprofessional, and scientific knowledge. By choosing HIU, they demonstrate great trust in future-oriented academic training.
The academization of therapy professions continues to advance both in Germany and worldwide. With it comes the growing need for reflective practitioners and therapy scientists who can contribute to high-quality patient care with well-founded knowledge in their respective fields. This is precisely the goal our new students have set for themselves.
