On the occasion of the war in Ukraine, a panel discussion on "Occupational therapy with (war-)traumatised people – an ideas workshop" took place at this year's DVE Congress (German Occupational Therapy Association).
Together with colleagues from HAWK Hildesheim, HSG Bochum and DVE, disciplinary and interdisciplinary possibilities of support for people who had traumatic experiences due to flight and war were discussed. In this context, Sarah Scheer was invited to contribute results from the InterAct project – Interdisciplinary cooperation in the psychosocial support of refugees. The core of the InterAct project consists of practical tools for the interdisciplinary psychosocial support of refugees. The focus is on community-oriented and psychosocial approaches as an interdisciplinary interface of the health and social professions.
