Physiotherapy review: ENPHE seminar 2023 – Educating Physiotherapists for a Global Mindset

The European Network for Physiotherapy in Higher Education (ENPHE) seminar took place from 9 to 11 March 2023 in Bergen, Norway, and was a complete success.

It was hosted by the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Arctic Norway University and the Environmental Physiotherapy Group. The goal of the seminar was to bring together teachers, researchers and students from across Europe to exchange knowledge, insights and experiences. IB Hochschule has been a member of this network for 5 years.

Spread over three days, participants had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities, including keynote speeches and various sessions. The theme of this year's seminar was "Educating physiotherapists for a global mindset".

The seminar started with two impulse talks. Various working groups then dealt with diverse topics. The explicit goal was to generate sustainable knowledge for the conference in Prague and to make this knowledge available to all European universities within the network. Topics included internships abroad, the use of virtual reality in patient care and new teaching and learning formats in today's higher education landscape.

There was also ample room for informal exchange. Overall, this seminar was extremely enriching and a good foundation for further advancing the academisation of therapy professions in Germany.
