On 12 May 2025 the event "Care Innovations in Dialogue: Solutions for a Good Future of Care" took place on the Health Campus at ukb in the House of the Future at Smart Living and Health Center. Experts and specialist representatives came together to exchange views on the latest developments of digitalisation and technologisation in care and health.
Various start-ups had the chance to present their concepts in 5-minute pitches – including Media4Care, G.U.T. Brandenburg, VIVAICare, Empident, Zenaris and many more interesting providers of digital solutions. The goal was to introduce innovative solutions in care and receive direct feedback from practice.
The event began with a welcome and networking phase. Dr. Albert Kern, head of unit at the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), then spoke about the future of care. In his impulse talk "Off to the future of care – but how?" he emphasised the necessity of innovations that respond to the challenges of an ageing society.
Overall it was an excellent opportunity for exchange of ideas and for networking. In a relaxed atmosphere, Julia Backhaus from Digital Care Solutions moderated the day and led the participants through the programme. The event was organised by Karen Janda and Johannes Martin from Smart Living and Health Center.
The event was another important step in aligning innovations in care more strongly with the actual needs of society. The Digital Health Bachelor and Master programmes at IB Hochschule take up exactly this. They train the experts of tomorrow's digital healthcare and thus create the basis for applying and further developing forward-looking solutions in care.
