This year's Poverty & Health Congress took place both as in-person event on 5 and 6 March 2024 at the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität (FU) Berlin and as digital congress on 12 March 2024. At the in-person event, IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales was represented for the second time in a row with an info stand on the study and continuing education offers of IB Hochschule, staffed by Prof. Dr. Thomas Bürk and Lena Setzepfand (research associate) and on the following day by Prof. Dr. Silke Brenne and Margarida Rischawy Mariano (research associate).
The programme of the congress – this year under the motto "Socially Just: Health – Environment – Climate" – was as usual filled with diverse and current public health topics, ranging from social participation through health competence to environmental justice.
With many new ideas for the next Poverty & Health Congress in 2025 – planning the renewed participation of IB Hochschule with an info stand for the further introduction of the programmes as well as further and continuing education offers, but also with presentations of selected final theses of IB students – the congress ended for IB Hochschule's participants.
