On 30 October 2025, Prof. Dr. Mariam Hartinger, President of IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales, and Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas, President of Kocaeli University of Health and Technology (KOSTÜ), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Berlin. The agreement establishes a close academic partnership intended to promote exchange in teaching, research and study programmes. Özcan Mutlu, former member of the German Bundestag, also attended the ceremonial signing and acknowledged the importance of international cooperation for education and science.
After a warm welcome, the guests from Turkey were given a comprehensive tour of IB Hochschule, including the new university building. Afterwards they visited the campus all the way to BG Klinikum Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin, where among other things the trauma room and the helicopter landing pad were viewed. The impressions underlined the close connection between academic teaching and practical healthcare that both institutions want to strengthen together.
With this agreement, IB Hochschule and Kocaeli University send a strong signal for international cooperation, knowledge transfer and the promotion of international exchange in health and social services.
