Successful start of the scientific continuing education "TRII at Master level"

TRII at Master level

The scientific continuing education of the BMBF-funded project "Therapeutic Research as part-time continuing education for health professions – testing, evaluation and establishment of sustainable strategies of implementation" started successfully on 28.02.2020.

Goals of this Master-level continuing education are the qualification to lead and conduct research projects as well as QM projects (planning and implementation). With regard to compatibility with work and family, the certificate programme enables permeability between a first academic degree and a Master's programme.

The scientific continuing education comprises four modules: "Research project", "Project management and quality management", "Quantitative research methodology" and "Qualitative research methodology", and concludes with 30 ECTS after successful completion of all modules.

On this first weekend, the participants from the professions of Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology with academic degrees presented their research topics. Topic finding took place in coordination with the employer. After reviewing the topics for suitability as a scientific project together with the lecturers, the participants began developing a scientific exposé. The course was also well filled with topics on evidence-based practice and search strategies in scientific databases, literature management programmes, criteria of good clinical practice, research ethics and study registration. At the end of this first part in the Research Project module, the participants were able to concretise their research projects and now start the in-depth planning and execution.

For all those now interested in participating: registration for individual modules is possible here for a short time.
