Digital Transformation in Nursing: Experts Gathered at the Cluster Conference on the Future of Care

From March 11 to 12, 2025, the Cluster Conference "Future of Care" took place at the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum in Berlin. Experts and specialists came together to discuss the latest developments in digitalization and technology in nursing and healthcare.
The innovation network "Cluster – Future of Care" is dedicated to implementing technological innovations on a broad scale and developing competencies for the digital transformation. HIU was represented with an information booth and student advisory services.
Under the motto "Shaping the Future of Care Humanely – Successful Transfer and Competency Development," topics included successful technology transfer, competency development for digital transformation, and innovative care models.
A highlight was the presentation by Prof. Dr. Markus Dormann, HIU's Vice-President and expert on AI in teaching: "It's not enough to simply use large language models like ChatGPT. To unlock the full potential of generative AI in education, it must be didactically modeled! I'm pleased to see that more and more stakeholders from science and practice recognize how important targeted AI applications in teaching and learning processes are."
The conference also showcased innovative products in nursing, and HIU emphasized that its Digital Health programs train exactly the experts needed to drive this digital transformation forward. It was a valuable opportunity for networking, discussing current developments, and shaping the future of care together.
