Finally, the time has come: the relocation of HIU is just around the corner. But don't worry – we're not moving to another district or even a new site, just a few steps further. In the future, you'll find us in Building 2, directly opposite our current building. Familiar, yet completely new.
This step has been carefully planned for a long time, and now HIU can finally move into a space that truly reflects its development. The move to a new building on the Health Campus at ukb marks a genuine milestone in the history of our university – and a reason to be excited.
The advantages of the Health Campus are obvious: its close proximity to Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (ukb) as well as numerous other healthcare institutions creates ideal conditions for our students. Theory and practice come even closer together, connections can be made more easily, and knowledge can be applied directly. At the same time, this close integration allows for flexible, needs-based development of new degree programs.
For our Berlin students, daily life will hardly change at all – apart from new paths across campus and modern spaces that invite learning and exchange. Building 2 combines the charm of historic brick architecture with contemporary facilities and a functional learning environment designed specifically for studying.
With new English-taught degree programs, the establishment of an International Office, and the new university building, we are purposefully strengthening internationalization, networking, and modern approaches to studying. We look forward to taking this next step together – welcome to the Health Campus!
