Last Tuesday 25.06.2024 the sun shone over the campus and offered the perfect backdrop for a rich programme that was specially organised for this day.
Visitors were guided through the various buildings, got to know the modernly equipped library and got an insight into the rooms in which their own studies might take place in the future. In Q&A rounds with currently enrolled students, interested parties could ask their questions and get authentic insights into everyday student life. The campus tour in the most beautiful weather rounded off the evening perfectly.
An interesting insight was provided by the taster lectures. They offered an excellent opportunity to sniff into the various programmes and get a feeling for the teaching methods and specialist content. The lectures covered a wide range of topics and gave visitors a foretaste of what awaits them in a programme at IB Hochschule.
A special highlight was the dialogue "Research belongs to studies!" in which Dr. Isa Wortelkamp, research and third-party funding coordinator of the university, and Alisa Wenzel, Master psychology student and lecturer in the Bachelor programme, presented the topic of research in a vivid and accessible way. Research can often appear abstract and intimidating to students starting their studies. But the two managed to convey the meaning and exciting aspects of research very lively and comprehensibly.
Campus Day also offered ample opportunity to enter into conversation with the lecturers of the various specialist teams. The programmes in Health Education, Applied Therapy Science, Digital Health and Psychology were in focus and there was comprehensive information about study contents, career perspectives and the importance of these specialist directions in healthcare.
A big thank you goes to all visitors for their lively interest and curiosity. It was wonderful to see how many people were inspired by the diverse study possibilities at IB Hochschule. For all in the Stuttgart area there is also good news: on 4 July 2024 the next Open Day takes place there. Many thanks to all involved for a successful Campus Day and until next year!
