Since 1 June 2025, IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales is part of the Global Education Network Group. With this step the long-standing and successful cooperation with Internationaler Bund ends. The university thanks for the constructive partnership and now looks ahead with great anticipation.
The change marks the start of a new development phase: integration into a strong international educational network opens diverse opportunities for students, lecturers and staff.
What changes – and what remains
IB Hochschule remains true to its specialist orientation and high quality standards. At the same time, key advantages arise from the new operator. As part of this development, from October 2025 two Master's programmes will also be offered in English, specially designed for international students: International Master Digital Health and International Master Health Care Education and Educational Management. These programmes strengthen the university's international visibility and promote even stronger networking in research, teaching and practice.
Future planning and new location
In the first joint working week with the new operators, important course-settings were made. In interdisciplinary groups, goals were defined, ideas exchanged and central plans designed. A special focus was on the university's new location. From September 2025, IB Hochschule will move into House 2 on the Health Campus at ukb.
Despite the structural changes, one thing remains unchanged: IB Hochschule continues to stand for a committed, practice-oriented and future-oriented study in the area of health and social affairs. The transition into an international network underlines this claim and sets the course for successful further development. The path to the future is clear: international, innovative, inspiring.
