Poverty & Health Congress – 17 and 18 March 2025 in Berlin

Kongress Armut und Gesundheit

For the third time in a row! Also this year, IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales was again represented with a stand at the "Poverty & Health" Congress at the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität (FU) Berlin. Prof. Dr. Silke Brenne and Lena Setzepfand as well as Prof. Dr. Gudrun Zimmermann and Margarida Rischawy Mariano could on both congress days both inform about IB Hochschule's study and continuing education offers and enter intensive exchange with representatives of public health institutions and health-promoting initiatives: both make you want more!

The programme of the congress, which this year celebrated its 30th anniversary and carried the title "Promoting Health Means Promoting Democracy" matching current world events, was as usual filled with both health-policy and current public health topics.

Why IB Hochschule finds this congress particularly important

As a university for health and social affairs, addressing societal challenges like poverty, social inequality and health care justice is particularly close to our hearts. Our students and lecturers engage intensively with these topics – whether in research, teaching or practice-oriented projects. The Poverty & Health Congress offers an essential platform to network, exchange knowledge and jointly develop solutions. We are convinced: a more just society begins with better healthcare for all.
