Coronavirus information

Starting from the city of Wuhan, acute respiratory illnesses have been occurring in China since December 2019 caused by the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). The coronavirus has meanwhile reached all federal states in Germany and is spreading further. Nationwide university/school closures are not planned, the number of infections is now clearly rising, and a worldwide spread of the pathogen is to be expected. The Robert Koch Institute currently assesses the danger to health as moderate.

If you notice symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath or runny nose after staying in a risky area for health, please stay at home and contact your family doctor by phone. Please also inform the university leadership!

We recommend the following preventive measures.

Persons who feel unwell, have a fever and/or other influenza symptoms should stay at home.
