1st Campus Day at Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin ukb – IB Hochschule introduces itself and presents Virtual Reality in teaching

Last Saturday was colourful and varied on the Health Campus at ukb. The association Gesundheitscampus am ukb Berlin e.V. had invited people to this special occasion and put together an extremely exciting programme that delighted both professionals and families.

IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales was represented on site and informed visitors at an informative stand about the fascinating possibilities of Virtual Reality (VR) in teaching. It was particularly impressive how enthusiastic both professionals and many children were. Visitors to IB Hochschule's stand had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of virtual reality and be flown by drone over a picturesque Caribbean island.

Another highlight of the day was the lecture by Prof. Dr. med. Philipp Lacour on telemedicine and its practical application. Visitors received both a comprehensive insight into the current state of digital healthcare and information about the newly introduced programmes Digital Health B.Sc. and M.Sc.

Alongside these fascinating insights, there were numerous other activities that made the day at ukb very interesting. Guests had the opportunity to explore the hospital and the rehabilitation clinic on guided tours. There was a doll and teddy bear clinic, demonstration X-rays, emergency and resuscitation exercises for children and adults, a presentation of rescue vehicles and an impressive flight show with the helicopter.

The promenade invited people to inform themselves and also offered entertainment for the whole family. In addition to the information stands, there was a bouncy castle, a carousel and various lively children's shows.

The 1st Campus Day at ukb was a complete success and will certainly be repeated in the future. The event offered a wide range of informative and entertaining activities for all ages and interest groups and impressively presented the latest developments in healthcare and education.
