Prof. Dr. Gudrun Zimmermann

Gudrun Zimmermann first completed a degree in Veterinary Medicine (veterinary engineer) and training as a state-recognised occupational therapist in Bad Elster. She went on to complete pedagogical training for teaching in medical and health professions, a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy at Hogeschool Zuyd Heerlen in the Netherlands, and a Master's in Health and Nursing Sciences at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

She was involved in the development and accreditation of four therapy degree programmes, in cooperation with HAN Nijmegen (Netherlands), HFH Hamburg, Heimerer GEAP Prishtina (Kosovo), and ASG-Anerkannte Schulgesellschaft mbH at its Annaberg-Buchholz branch.

For many years she has practised as an occupational therapist, specialising in biofeedback and neurofeedback for patients with psychological pain. In this field she also speaks at international conferences and teaches at various continuing education institutions and at the German Pain Society.
