Alisa Wenzel, M.Sc.

Alisa Sophie Wenzel is a psychologist (M.Sc.), specialising in trauma and crisis psychology, and is currently in training as a systemic therapist (SG) and clinical hypnotherapist (M.E.G.).

Alongside her work as a research associate and lecturer at the HIU, she works as a mental health practitioner in psychological acute care and crisis intervention with the Berlin Crisis Service. Her professional focus includes working with individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies, providing psychosocial support following potentially traumatic events, suicide prevention, and interdisciplinary collaboration with various emergency and support services.

Prior to her career in psychology, Alisa Wenzel worked for several years as an investigator with the police forces of the federal state of Brandenburg and the State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt) Hamburg. This experience continues to shape her understanding of psychosocial dynamics in high-stress, emergency, and crisis situations.
