Prof. Dr. Mariam Hartinger

Prof. Dr. Mariam Hartinger

President

Mariam Hartinger is a speech scientist (Diplom-Sprechwissenschaftlerin) by training, with a background in clinical speech therapy and research. She secured six externally funded projects, including grants from the DFG and BMBF, and served as Vice President for Research from 2019 to 2021. Since 2014, she has led the BMBF project "Therapeutic Research" under the federal-state competition "Advancement through Education: Open Universities" at Health Innovation University. She has been President of Health Innovation University since December 2021.

Tajana Grießmann-Gehrt studied psychology at the University of Potsdam and completed her doctorate at the University of Magdeburg under Prof. Fuhrer. She taught psychology at the University of Potsdam, the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Berlin, and the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. From 2011 to 2019, she ran her own practice in Brussels as a systemic therapist for individuals, couples, and families, while also working as a school psychologist at the International German School in Brussels and later at a school in Berlin. She joined the IB University of Applied Sciences as a professor of Applied Psychology in September 2020.

Jochen Klenk studied Medical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Ulm (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) and then worked on robot-assisted surgery as a research associate at Fraunhofer IPA Stuttgart. He went on to earn a Master's in Public Health with a focus on biostatistics and epidemiology (MPH). Since 2004, he has been a project leader at Ulm University's Institute of Epidemiology and Medical Biometry, where he completed his doctorate in Human Biology in 2009 on "Overweight and Mortality Risk" and his habilitation in Epidemiology in 2017 on "Physical Activity and Health in Older Adults." Since 2009, he has also led a research group at the Robert Bosch Hospital's Clinic for Geriatric Rehabilitation in Stuttgart. He became professor of Health Sciences at the IB University of Applied Sciences in 2018. His work focuses on physical activity and mobility in older adults, fall prevention, and sensor-based health monitoring. It has led to over 100 peer-reviewed publications, several patents, and a role as co-editor of "European Review of Aging and Physical Activity."
