The central body for academic self-governance at HIU.
The Academic Senate of HIU
One of the central bodies for the self-organization of HIU is the Academic Senate. It participates in all relevant university decisions and supports the university management in areas including development planning and the establishment of new degree programmes. It also takes decisions on study and examination regulations, the principles of teaching evaluations, and other quality assurance measures.
Through the Academic Senate, every member of the university — from students and professors to academic and administrative staff — has a genuine say in shaping HIU.
The President and Vice President serve on the Academic Senate by virtue of their office. In addition, each member group of the university elects its own representatives.
