Study on the health campus at ukb

Health Innovation University is on the grounds of the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (ukb). You can do your entire degree right here on the health campus.

The ukb is one of Berlin's biggest hospitals, so you're studying next to a working medical facility. It's also a research site, which means there are ways to get practical experience while you're still in your degree.

Together with the IB Medical Academy

The university shares a dedicated mobile building with the Medical Academies at ukb and started teaching on the campus in January.

Being on the ukb grounds means the hospital, its clinics, and its research labs are all next door. The motto:

New opportunities on a big campus

Health Innovation University moved its Berlin location to the health campus at the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (ukb).

The ukb grounds are green and park-like, in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district. S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations are both nearby.

The campus has around 2,500 staff and one of Germany's most modern hospitals: roughly 110,000 patients a year, about 1,000 beds, 96 hectares total. That's about 134 football pitches.

Food and going out near the campus

Friedrichshain is about 11 minutes by S-Bahn from Wuhletal to Ostkreuz, and from there you're in the middle of Berlin's bar and club district.

Whether you want a quick espresso, a long breakfast in a quiet courtyard, a vegan döner, or a proper currywurst, it's all within walking distance. Most cuisines are covered.

There's also the Lumo Nahbar, which recently opened in the Arona Klinik building right on campus. Café during the day, events in the evening, bar at night.
