Two decades of innovation
Foundation
HIU was founded by the Internationaler Bund (IB) under the name “IB-Hochschule Berlin”.
First Major Research Project
First major research project worth more than €400,000, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the programmeme “Advancement through Education: Open Universities”.
Second Funding Phase Approved
Successful approval of the second funding phase of the BMBF project worth more than €200,000.
Name Change
The university was renamed “Health Innovation University of Applied Sciences”.
Move to the Health Campus
Relocation to the health campus at ukb e.V.
Change of Operator
The university transitioned from the Internationaler Bund (IB) to the Global Education Network Group (GEN Group).
New Building & International Programmes
Move into the new building on the health campus at ukb e.V. The first international degree programmes begin.
