About the Preparatory Course
The Master's programmeme in Health Education requires a relevant Bachelor's degree worth 210 ECTS credits. If you currently hold 180 ECTS credits, Health Innovation University offers a tailored one-semester preparatory programmeme (Propädeutikum) to earn the remaining 30 ECTS credits before starting the Master's. The Propädeutikum covers a range of pedagogical modules at Bachelor level and meets the relevant legal requirements (see below). It is aimed at university graduates from nursing, health, and therapy sciences, vocational pedagogy, medical and health education, and related fields (e.g. health sociology, emergency management) who are trained and currently working in a healthcare, nursing, or therapy profession.

Learning Outcomes
Health Innovation University offers this preparatory course for anyone interested in the Master's programmeme in Health Education (M.A.). It's ideal if you're already teaching at a health vocational school and want to deepen your pedagogical skills, or if you're looking to start the Master's but still need the required 30 ECTS credits in education.
How It Works
The Propädeutikum is designed to fit around your career. Sessions run from Friday to Sunday in a mix of in-person and online formats, making it manageable alongside work and family. Moodle serves as a supporting learning platform so you can access materials from home. Each module block runs over a university weekend with the following schedule: Fri 4–9 PM, Sat 9 AM–6 PM, Sun 9 AM–5 PM Reflection sessions are also offered as ongoing support.
Admission Requirements
- Relevant vocational training in a healthcare profession (with professional experience)
- A relevant undergraduate degree* (e.g. in health, nursing, or medical education/sciences, or related fields such as applied therapy sciences, social sciences, etc.) worth 180 ECTS credits
- Successful admissions interview
* Or a current transcript if applying during the final phase of your Bachelor's degree
