On Monday 28.10.2024, the Digital Health certificate programme started at IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales with an exciting kick-off. The continuing education gives professionals the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of digital healthcare and prepare for the future in healthcare.
Specialist talks from radiology to neurology
After a warm welcome by Maria Krautz and the Digital Health team, participants were received with a series of specialist talks. Apl. Prof. Dr. med. Then the practical part began: a visit to the Smart Living & Health Center
After a break, the practical part of the day began at the Smart Living & Health Center in the House of the Future at Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin (ukb). As Germany's most modern advisory and information centre for home care and self-determined life, the centre gives valuable insights into the technical aids of the future.
The ukb brain cloud 1.0: gamification in digital therapy
Afterwards it went on to the innovative rehabilitation clinic at ukb, where participants experienced the "brain cloud 1.0" of the BG Klinikum – a fully digitalised therapy room that promotes motor and cognitive rehabilitation of patients through gamification. With the help of virtual and mixed reality glasses as well as interactive game consoles, therapy is individually adapted to patients' current state and abilities.
