Open Day in Hamburg: insights into healthcare professions and interprofessional study

Open Day Hamburg

On 5 November 2024 the Medical Academy Hamburg (MAH) opened its doors for everyone interested in a professional future in healthcare. The "Open Day" offered the opportunity from 16:00 to 18:00 to get exciting insights into the trainings of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy. Visitors could inform themselves comprehensively about the contents and perspectives of the respective healthcare professions and find out which of these paths best suits their personal and professional goals.

IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales sets in exactly at this point and offers, in close cooperation with MAH, a high-quality study. Students have the opportunity to continue their training in the healthcare professions of Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy training- or part-time. The interprofessional approach of the Applied Therapy Science: Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy programme offers an innovative view on modern healthcare and optimally prepares graduates for the challenges in professional everyday life.

Interesting questions, conversations and several talks on the Applied Therapy Science programme made the afternoon very lively. They took place in several loops, so all interested parties could inform themselves flexibly. Whether young prospective students who still want to make their career choice, or working people who want to expand their qualifications – the Open Day at MAH showed which possibilities the Medical Academy and IB Hochschule offer to pave the way to a fulfilling career in healthcare.

Interested can still enrol until 30.11.2024. Please feel free to contact Prof. Dr. Gudrun Zimmermann gudrun.zimmermann@hi-university.de or the study advisory service studienberatung@hi-university.de.
