Invitation to the ring lecture: "Psychology & Culture" – with new dates from 25 November

In this winter semester we would like to address the topic of culture and psychology in a ring lecture. The focal points of the individual talks were designed with the aim of an interdisciplinary perspective as well as a cross-disciplinary exchange. Furthermore, a mix of different formats was envisaged, from talks to book presentations and a film evening with moderated discussion.
The lecture series primarily examines the following questions: What is culture? How do we research culture? How do cultures differ? What influence does culture have on human development? How does culture manifest itself in upbringing? How do language and culture relate to each other? How do cultural values express themselves in our language?
Migration with regard to interculturality and the psychosocial dimension – understood as opportunity and challenge – will also be a thematic focus.
