The symposium was filled with exciting and interesting talks by specialist experts. This year everything revolved around the topic of the foot, under the title of the event: "Going well?".
In addition to physiotherapy talks from orthopaedics and surgery, IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales was also there with two talks by Prof. Dr. Lexy and Prof. Dr. Klenk. Prof. Klenk spoke on "Activity analysis in older people using artificial intelligence" and Prof. Lexy on "Foot and fascia". IB Hochschule sincerely thanks the participants of this symposium.
We are particularly delighted with prize winner Anja Padel, student of Health Education and Educational Management (M.A.) at IB Hochschule. She won first prize in the category of best poster of her Master's thesis and was honoured on this day. The topic of her work is: "Introduction of Direct Access in Germany – developments and challenges in physiotherapeutic programmes". IB Hochschule warmly congratulates her and wishes her all the best on her way!
The IFK Science Day
The IFK Science Day has been held annually since 2005, and each year final theses from physiotherapy programmes or thematically related topics are honoured. This year, the event was held in cooperation with IB Hochschule für Gesundheit und Soziales. With Science Day, IFK promotes the scientific foundation of physiotherapy in order to advance the academisation of the profession.
Apart from the specialist talks, the IFK Science Prize is awarded every year. For this prize, Bachelor's and Master's theses no older than 2 years that deal with a topic from physiotherapy can be submitted each year.
