The Health Innovation University of Applied Sciences (HIU) is the new name of the IB University of Applied Sciences for Health and Social Care. HIU is a private, state-accredited university headquartered in Berlin with additional study centers in Hamburg, Munich, and Stuttgart. As part of the Global Education Network Group, new opportunities are opening up for students and staff, both nationally and internationally. We are a future-oriented university specializing in health, where innovation, technology, and human-centered teaching meet the long-standing quality of German academic education and genuine medical expertise. We are looking for you to join our university IT team. The position is available immediately and initially limited to two years, with the goal of offering a permanent contract.

Tasks:

  • Your daily tasks:
    • o1st and 2nd level support for our staff and students, with support from an external IT service provider for larger projects; IT inquiries via our ticketing system, including documentation
    • oInstallation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, including replacement and new procurement; software installations of all kinds
    • oProcurement, setup, and delivery of staff equipment (laptops, docking stations, monitors, and accessories); installation and setup of Windows operating systems; Active Directory (user account management)
    • oAdministration and maintenance of our IT infrastructure; troubleshooting and system optimization
    • o Support for the campus management system AcademyFIVE, the learning management system Moodle including BigBlueButton, and the library's digital resources (databases); troubleshooting; and introduction and implementation of additional library services in close coordination with the library coordinator
    • oActive support for questions regarding IT security and data protection measures
    • oManagement and implementation of digitization projects
    • oUser training and support for Microsoft Office applications, SPSS, and AcademyFIVE

Profile:

You have a good overview

  • You have completed vocational training or a degree in IT – or a comparable qualification with an IT focus.
  • • You have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft environment, Microsoft 365 / Office 365, and network administration.
  • You have practical experience in 1st and 2nd level support, ideally with a ticketing system.
  • Ideally, you have experience administering CRM systems, such as AcademyFive, HubSpot, or Moodle.
  • You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and maintain a clear overview even in stressful situations.
  • You are service-oriented, have strong communication skills, and enjoy helping others with your IT knowledge.
  • You have excellent written and spoken English skills to work effectively in an international and digitally networked environment.
